<<HISTORY<<
6-14.12.2004.
Volunteer days
"Santa
is a volunteer, too" is one of our activities that
promotes youth activism as an important precondiditon
for the civil society development.
We set up a stand in the town mainstreet where our young
volunteers handed out the promotion material to the interested
citizens (T-shirts, umbrellas, scarves, caps, badges...).
This activity was organized in cooperation with the home
for the children without parents care "Jefimija"
who base their activities on volunteer work. The kids
from this institution were selling their handmade greeting
cards on the street-stand. The collected money was directed
for organizing the New Year party for the kids.
We organized a volunteer party in the local disco, too.
We supplied a video-beam projector and we demonstrated
the SEEYN material and the material on the activities
of the member organization. After that we handed out the
rewards in the prize-game.

of the member organizations in 2004. and made the work-plan
for 2005. Educational Centre Kruševac has, after being an
associated member for 16 months of the SEEYN, become a full
member.
Beside the three-day working part, certainly the most interesting
part was the excursion to the Jasterbac mountain, including
a party-night in "Trayal" villa with serbian national
food specialties, mountain-tour, and a photo-show from all
camps from the last year.

school finishing-class students in Krusevac.
The main goal of the project was to inform
the youth about their rights and responsibilities, and giving
general information about the legistlative system in Serbia
so we could make the labour, organization and responsibilities

EU
PROJECT : Borozija 2004
This
European Union project started in 2000. as a
15-day EU youth gathering with the people of the same age from
the countries which were involved in the recent wars. The first
two of these gatherings had participants from 6 countries (3 EU
and 3 Non-EU countries). Since Slovenia entered the EU this year,
two new places were opened for the non-EU countries. That's how
Serbia and Macedonia came into this project.
Each of the 8 countries had 7 participants and
2 senior staff members (France (Strazburg), Italy (Lana), Austria
(Graz), Slovenia (Velenje), Croatia (upanja), BiH (epce),
SCG (Kruševac) i Macedonija (Struga)) and a dozen of Austrians
(this years organizers) met this year in “Veli Joe”
camp in Savudrija (Istra, Croatia).
Breakfast, morning session, pre-lunch swimming, lunch, rest, afternoon
session, swimming, dinner, rest, evening excursion. This was how
a regular camp day looked like. And “irregular” days
ment: “survival” – a visit to the Lim Channel
and sleeping outside, “La festa” – cooking national
food, carting race, football tournament, printing and publishing
the daily newspapers, designing a website…
Serbia in EU !? If this way of ours got Serbia
a milimeter closer to the European Union, then we have accomplished
our mission. The more contact our sports, culture, governmental
and non-govermental, youth and other organizations have with the
representatives of EU, the faster we’re going to this society
whom we all long for.
Next year in Strazburg, France, the city of
the European Parliament. We are getting closer.
